Chong had come home from university for the weekend with plans to go to a baseball game with his friends. And of course that meant he arrived home to hear his mom guilt trip him about how he doesn’t call often enough and how he only spends times with his friends when he does visit home.
They went to bed angry, but they woke up in each other’s bodies! Getting dressed in his mom’s clothes felt weird. Even if it was jeans and a t-shirt, there was still the matter of the underwear (which she helped him with). And then his mom put on an apron and got to work making breakfast.
Chong thought about complaining about the apron, but it’s not like he wanted to cook so he let it slide. And then the text came in. It was from his friends about the game.
“Mom,” Chong stated, “The game’s today. You’re going to have to go in my place.”
“What?” His mom asked, “No, you need to worry about your classes.”
“Well, you’re going to have to go to those in my place, too! It’s not like I can show up like this! But those aren’t until Monday, Please!”“But I have chores around the house like cleaning.”
“I’ll do them, Mom! Just...please!”
“No, you are terrible at chores. You’ll do a bad job.”
“I’ll try twice as hard! Please!”
“Okay, fine, but I won’t enjoy this game.”
“Thank you!”
