What did Daryl do to deserve this? He wasn’t even sure how he had ended up here in this hell-like dungeon. For the first few days, he was at least with his buddy, Al. But then men came and took Al away, leaving Daryl all alone. It got even worse when the food stopped arriving.
Just as he had lost almost all hope, the door to his cell opened. A woman walked in.
“Hey Daryl,” She giggled cutely.
“Do I know you?” He asked.
She pouted. “How do you not recognize me. It’s me, Al!”
“Al? Albert? No way, man. Al’s got graying hair, and is like three times your size. Not to mention: he’s a man!”
“No, Al is short for Allison! At least it is now.” Her giggle returned, which now seemed more scary than cute. “I wonder what your new name is going to be. Daryl’s a terrible name for a girl.”
“I ain’t a girl, and I ain’t gonna be.”
“Oh! How adorable! You think you have a choice in the matter!”
