Unsuspect

“On your rounds this morning, did you see a man running in this hallway?” Officer Diaz asked.

“I see lots of people in this halls when working. Sometimes they are in a rush.” The maid replied.

“This was more of a sprint than a mere rush. Quite honestly, it seems he just disappeared. Any information you have would be helpful.”

Tony sighed. The police weren’t giving up this time. Usually, he’d steal something from a hotel room, use his device to take over an unassuming form, and the police would show up for about two hours before returning to the station. Today, they had already been here for about six. Plus, selecting the body of an aging hotel maid wasn’t exactly an ideal form to be in. His body ached; he had to go through her grueling rounds cleaning rooms. It was awful.

But it was still working. The police were clueless. They couldn’t find the suspect because there was presently no suspect to find. The stolen goods were safely stashed as well. He just needed to wait them out. Even if they took longer this time, they still ALWAYS gave up.
