Harris and Elaina had been very careful with the Medallion of Zulu so far. The married couple had often used it to swap with each other for a short time while always being very mindful of where they kept it.
With the massive storm predicted, they were both in their own bodies with the medallion locked up. Everything seemed safe. They didn’t expect the storm to get as bad as it did. Their house ended up flooded, and the box containing the medallion was washed away. But that wasn’t the worst part.
It seemed an errant bolt of lightning had hit the box, having an odd effect on the body swapping medallion. The lightning was diffused and ended up swapping bodies across a number of people throughout town, including Harris, who now found himself in a woman’s body. He didn’t know her name or who she was. She seemed to be in her 20s, much younger than he and his wife. Having used the medallion to swap with his wife, he wasn’t exactly unfamiliar with being a woman, but he knew he still had to pretend to be ignorant and shocked at this whole thing.
After all, if anyone knew he and his wife were even indirectly responsible, they would surely not be treated kindly. So as the town went through a massive cleanup effort, Harris made a specific point of trying to find the box with the medallion in it. He might have to tell the truth at that point, but at least he could get everyone who had been swapped back to normal. That is IF he could find the medallion in this mess.
