As Josh entered his early morning statistics class, he took a seat in the front next to his girlfriend Fei and greeted her with his usual, “What’s up, Babe?”
She didn’t speak in response, only glancing back at him with a look that made him think like he had done something wrong -- though he had no idea what that could be.
Before he could speak, he felt a firm pair of arms wrap around him. It was uncharacteristic of his buddy Mitch to be so friendly. Josh could only mutter, “Uh, hey, Mitch.”
“Actually, that’s Fei. I’m Mitch,” His girlfriend (or at least her body) said, “Some sort of weird body switching happened between us last night. We can’t explain it. We couldn’t fix it.”
Josh tried to hide his discomfort at this news as he forced a smile and repeated awkwardly, “What’s...up... Babe?”
“It was a hard night, but I’m feeling better now that I’m with you!” Fei said as bubbly as she could using Mitch’s voice.
“I’m fine with the PDA, just don’t do anything too weird in private with my body, okay?” Mitch requested.
