Katie pressed the button on the device several times, worried that the body swapping device no longer seemed to be working. She felt a sense of relief when her body walked around from the other side of the lab.
“Thank goodness, Rowan,” She sighed, “But I thought we were just going to do a quick test and then swap right back. Why did you take your helmet off?”
“Because it worked!” Rowan said with a huge smile, “That’s such a huge accomplishment! We should celebrate!”
“Sure, but maybe we should return to our own bodies before we celebrate?”
“Oh, come on! It could be fun! Let’s go out to dinner like this or something! This is literally a breakthrough and the first time anyone has experienced being in someone else’s body; we should explore it a little longer. When will we get the chance to do this again?”
“Literally whenever we want. We just built a device that can swap people’s bodies. And seriously, Rowan, I want to swap back NOW.”
