A week passed at Sarah’s work with no incident, and Alvin decided she needed an update. She found it weird to still be looking at her own face, but he didn’t even need to say a word.
“It’s bad news, isn’t it?” Sarah asked, “Is my face really always that obvious.”
“I wouldn’t call it bad news,” Alvin tried to spin it, “It’s just that we have nothing actionable yet.”
“You think I made it all up, don’t you?”
“On the contrary, in the short time I’ve been in your body, there have been a few suggestive and rude comments from some of your co-workers. I’d be more than happy to go after them if you want, but your boss is the one you really want, isn’t it?”
Sarah nodded and whispered, “He’s done a lot worse than words.”
“I know. That’s why I’m gonna get that bastard. I’m just going to need more time like this.”
