“This Great Shift thing sucks.” Brian complained, “Freshman year of college should be like the best. Instead I’m stuck in the body of some 40-something year old townie.”
“Come on, it’s not so bad,” His roommate Jake replied, “At least you can look at yourself in the mirror while you change clothes.”
“It’s not excited when you look at yourself. And it’s not like this body is the kind you see on websites.”
“Well, I’m sure the government will find a way to get people back to normal in like two or three weeks, tops. They have all sorts of body swap and teleport technology just sort of sitting around that they pretend doesn’t exist.”
“Dude, the government doesn’t have some sort of secret body swapping machine. They don’t just hide things from the public like that.”
“Hey, man, just you wait. You’ll probably be prioritized because your body is old and stuff. They might even sweep you away in the middle of the night.”
“Oh, shut up, I’m in a middle aged body, not a senior citizen! And it sucks! And there’s no savior that’ll magically put me back in my own body. It just sucks, and it’s going to continue to suck. I have to get to used to it.”
