The Hard Part

Theo had awoken that morning to head out to work and found flowers in front of the apartment.

“How sweet!” He thought for a moment, “Mary’s boyfriend must have sent them. He probably misses her.”

After walking with the flowers for a few blocks, he tossed them in the trash. He was going to break up with her boyfriend tonight. After all, it had been a week now since he first swapped bodies with Mary. If there was any hope of swapping back to normal, they probably would’ve at least had a lede by now. Instead, Theo was starting to plan of what his life would be like now that he had Mary’s body. He didn’t want to be tied down to all of her life decisions; he wanted to make his own. And that included her boyfriend! And her job -- though he had already resolved to quit, he wasn’t going to do so until he had something else lined up. Of course, the hard part was going to be telling Mary...
