Several months after the Great Shift and Sebastian was still pretty frustrated at the chaos. Of course, had he swapped into a body a few blocks away as opposed to halfway around the world, it might have been easier. When he first swapped, he was floored to find himself in a woman’s body and, based on the wrinkles in her skin, one that was a few decades older than his own. He didn’t find anyone who spoke the same languages he knew, but people were often friendly and let him borrow clothes or eat some of their food.
The local government wasn’t much help either. Again, finding someone who could understand him was a challenge and helping someone get back home seemed to be the last thing on their minds. Eventually, their solution was a mass gathering for foreigners stuck inside the bodies of locals. But even this was just a mess with people crowded around with little organization or direction of where to go or what to do. He may not have appeciated his own country all the time, but it was never as crazy and chaotic as this! He couldn’t wait to finally get back home.
