Bug
It had been a year since Stephen had last stepped foot in this conservatory. He never expected the odd bug to crawl out of the cacti and bite him along with a young woman named Amanda. They both fell ill and had been rushed to a hospital. Scientists couldn’t identify the bug, and the unconscious victims’ illness was mysterious to the doctors. Then it got even weirder over the next 48 hours as Stephen’s body slowly morphed into Amanda’s and visa versa. It was tough for Stephen to convince his friends and loved ones that he was now a perky-looking blonde woman; luckily, he had the doctors to confirm his story. And over the course of the year, he did his best to adapt to womanhood. But the bug was never found.
This was precisely the reason he returned to the conservatory. What’s the worst that could happen? Would he find himself in another new body? He tried to convince Amanda to come with him, but she was spooked. He didn’t blame her. After all, last time she was here, she ended up with his body. But Stephen was a bit braver. As he walked by the cacti, he hoped to spy the bug again. If he found it, maybe he could unlock the secret to how it turned his body into Amanda’s. And just maybe it held the clues to reversing the process...
