Pull Over (Part 2)

After about fifteen minutes of waiting in the front seat, Phillip switched to the back, just to try to break up the monotony. That’s when he began to notice how confused people nearby seemed to be acting. People were examining their bodies, as if they had swapped bodies just like he had with this woman and the driver had with whoever. What if everyone in the world had swapped bodies?

It seemed plausible, though Phillip would’ve expected people to be freaking out a whole lot more if they did. It’s not that people didn’t seem panicked, but he would’ve expected outright chaos if everyone was now someone else. He decided to stand next to the car in order to get a better look at people’s reactions...

Pull Over (Part 1)

It was quite terrifying for Phillip to go from being behind the wheel to suddenly find himself on the passenger side instead. He heart was pounding as he tried to slam on pedals that just weren’t there. Luckily, whoever was driving pulled off the road and into a parking lot.

The Asian man in the driver’s seat turned to Phillip and spoke, “I’m guessing you aren’t in your own body either.”

Phillip didn’t understand the statement at first. Then he looked down to see a pink sweater, white skirt, and smooth legs. He didn’t suddenly find himself just in the passenger seat of a different vehicle; he was in an entirely different body! A woman’s body. Phillip was speechless as the man left the car; he seemed to be searching for something.

Phillip began to wonder if that might not be a bad idea. Looking for his own car and his own body might not be such a bad idea. But if he waited here, maybe he could get some answers about the body he was currently in, which also wouldn’t hurt.

The Game

Mick had waved goodbye to his girlfriend before heading out to see the ball game with his buds. They had great seats, and things got even better when some hot women sat down beside them. Mick knew he had a girlfriend, but he couldn’t help but flirt with these women. He was getting a little too close with one of them when...

The next thing Mick knew, he was far from the stadium. He looked down. The skimpy outfit looked familiar, as did the jewelry, but that didn’t seem even remotely possible. Was he now inside the body of his own girlfriend? He began to panic a little. Was she inside of his body? It seemed like such poor timing. If she had become him, she was going to kill him for flirting with that woman at the game. This was making him more nervous than the fact that he was now a woman himself.

He tried calming himself down. Maybe she swapped bodies too, but maybe she swapped with someone else, a third party! In fact, Mick’s hope was more than likely, it was the truth. He wasn’t the only one who had swapped with someone. Most of the world had swapped with someone else thanks to the effects of The Great Shift.

Mannequin

Rick stared at the mannequins in the store window display. One was clothed in a black skirt, thigh high socks, a white sweatshirt, and a cute, black hat. Rick wondered what she would look like as an actual human instead of an inanimate object. He was sure she’d be cute. As his gaze continued, he felt a tingle. He felt his body stiffen for a moment, then a loosening. The mannequin had changed. It was now a male one, wearing the clothes he had just had on a moment ago. He looked down a bit surprised. The sweatshirt, the skirt, and the thigh high socks were there. He could feel the hat on his head. Thankfully, he was still fully human. Those in the store looked on in shock. From there perspective, they had just seen a mannequin turn into a real, live woman and a male onlooker do the reverse. Rick wasn’t quite sure what to even tell them. This wasn’t quite what he had imagined when he fantasized while looking through the window, but he really couldn’t complain.

Let's Do It

“And how does this make you feel, Mr. Smith?” Doctor Weinberg asked.

“Uncomfortable.” James Smith replied.

“Why?”

“You’ve somehow transformed yourself into a copy of my ex-wife to conduct this session. That’s weird!”

“Why do you feel that’s weird?”

“Because you’re a guy! You’re a guy with my wife’s body! How did you even transform yourself?” “I didn’t transform myself. You’re ex-wife and I mutually agreed to swap bodies. I know you blame yourself for the divorce, Mr. Smith, I know you do. But you really shouldn’t. Your wife was simply unhappy as a woman, as a wife. She tried hard to fit her gender, but once science discovered a way for two people to swap bodies, she knew she wanted to be a man. You know I’ve been seeing her as well. I offered her my body to help her therapy. It was the least I could do.”

“So now you’re a chick? And you’re okay with that?”

“I do what I can for my clients. I did what I had to do to help her; I will do what I have to do help you as well. And speaking of which, I have seen your hostility toward gender fluidity, and I know how much you miss your ex-wife. I have an offer, if you wish. We can go down to the body swapping clinic right now. You can have your ex-wife’s body, and I will have yours. You might find your hostility toward those that are gender fluid quite lowered. Plus, you will be reunited with your wife in a way.”

James was silent for a few minutes before answering with a mumble, “Okay. Let’s do it.”

So Much for Second Chances

Cliff had been driving the magic taxi for two weeks now, stuck inside the cabbie’s body. He was holding out as he looked for the perfect body. He was trying for a rich Wall Street banker type, being physically fit would certainly be a plus as well. Getting a call from dispatch about a fare from the financial district to a nearby gym seemed like a good fit, but he was a little disappointed when a woman got into his cab.

It was purely by accident that he muttered the words, “Have a nice day, Ma’am,” as he dropped her off. He was shocked when he found himself in her body. He knew what he had done, but he certainly hadn’t intended to do it! He couldn’t stop himself as he reached into her gym bag to pull out her wallet. He paid the fare, then gave the driver a $50 tip. That’s when Cliff was able to have some control of his actions.

“If you want another $50 tip, come pick me up here in a half hour,” He told the woman now inside the body of the driver. She just nodded. He knew she couldn’t speak up in protest about swapping bodies with him, but maybe, just maybe, she’d come back in a half hour and be able to get her body back.

In the meantime, Cliff decided to spend the half hour trying to act as normally as possible...Well, at least as normal as he could gather. He didn’t know much about this woman, but at least he remembered to go into the correct changing room for his new gender. After an intense twenty minute workout, he went outside and waited. He didn’t want to be late in case the magic taxi returned early. He waited for nearly an hour before it, in fact, did.

He sat down inside and asked, “Could you give me a ride home? I think you know where it is.”

When Cliff got out, he expected to hear the magic words, “Have a nice day,” but instead the driver just sat there smiling with his hand out. Cliff gave the driver another $50 tip, but was in shock that the woman seemed to have no interest in swapping back. It was probably about the closest anyone had ever gotten to having a second chance with the magic taxi, but it didn’t come to fruition. Cliff was still stuck in the woman’s body as the cab drove away.

Client

After forty years at the law firm, Julian didn’t meet with many clients anymore. Mostly, he acted as a mentor to the junior partners. He’d show up twice a week, sit in his office, and just wait for one of them to come to him with any problems they had. He remembered coming back from lunch to hear a client shouting at the top of her lungs about how her case had gone. Julian listened from just outside the door. She was in with Nicholas, one of the best lawyers he had. He wanted to hear how he would talk her down. But instead a flash of light seem to knock Julian out, and then there was silence.

Julian was a little surprised to find himself in the conference room at the next instant with the client and Nicholas. Or just Nicholas; the client was nowhere to be found. Then he looked down at his hands. The skin was dark with long acrylic nails. He had swapped into the client’s body! In fact, the entire firm had all been swapped...lawyers, clients, assistants, paralegals, and so on.

Julian made an executive decision to shut down for the day as people read articles on the internet about how widespread the body swapping was. Julian was the last to leave. As he took the elevator down, he noticed his reflection. He couldn’t believe he was an African American woman, significantly younger than he had been. But what he noticed most was her butt. He couldn’t believe how large and round it was; he couldn’t believe he was going to be the one walking around with this thing for the foreseeable future. He pulled out his phone and snapped a picture of his reflection in disbelief.

The Boss (Part 3)

The next morning, Matt did his best to keep up appearances. He put on another skirt suit and headed into the office. He arrived early and sat at his boss’s desk. He tried his best to manage a smile, despite feeling quite miserable inside.

Finally, a tech arrived with some unfortunate news about the status of the device. Matt’s forced smile turned into a frown as he heard the news. The estimated repair time was between six to twelve months. He couldn’t believe he was going to stuck in this body for at least half a year. The next step was going to be meeting once again with his boss to discuss just how they were going to cope for that amount of time.

The Boss (Part 2)

Matt couldn’t believe that he was going to be stuck in the body of his boss for a little while. He hoped it would only be for a few hours, but the day ended without the device being fixed, so he now hoped they’d be able to swap back tomorrow. He hated that he had to pretend to be her also. It meant he had to act stuffy, stuck up, and feminine. But, on the plus side, it also meant he got to spend the night inside his boss’s huge house in the suburbs.

The first thing he wanted to do was change into something more comfortable than her skirt suit. It took him forever to find a closet. While Matt first considered a t-shirt and sweats, an odd find in the back her closet changed his mind.

He couldn’t believe his boss even owned anything like this! After putting on the strange outfit and completing the look with some makeup, he stared at himself in the mirror for a good half hour before sitting on the couch. There was clearly a side to his boss that he didn’t know. He wasn’t sure he would ever ask her about it; heck, he wasn’t even sure he wanted to think any more about it.

The Boss (Part 1)

Matt sat at his boss’s desk and listened as she explained what had happened. She spoke about a secret government contract, some boring technical stuff, and then the kicker. He had swapped bodies with her thanks to this weird gizmo, and now she was asking him to pretend to be her until they were able to fix it.

He looked at her with skepticism. How was he supposed to pull this off? He didn’t know much about what she did day to day. Further, he had no idea how he was going to cope with being a woman who was about ten years older than he was. Of course, until that device was fixed, he probably didn’t have much of a choice. He reluctantly agreed to let her talk through how he should act in the interim.

Back to My Place

After the bright flash of light, Max didn’t have much time to react to the fact that he had a new body before he felt a vibrating. Realizing it was a phone inside the purse he now held, he answered.

“Hello?” He asked.

“Hello.” Max recognized his own voice on the other end of the call, “I think you have my body.”

“And it sounds like you have mine.”

“Just stay put, I’ll come find you.”

“I have no idea where I am.” “It was my body just a second ago, remember? I know where I was...but wait...where were you?”

“I was outside Central Park...”

“Uh...oh. You’re in Los Angeles.”

“It might take a while for you to get here.”

“Yeah, I guess we’ll have to work something else out. Let me give you instructions back to my place...”

Long Story (Part 3)

“Once I ended up in her body, I realized I sort of missing driving a cab. Plus, it was a job I could do without worrying if my skills matched up with this woman’s experience.”

Abraham was enchanted by the woman’s story. It seemed like such a tall tale, but she told it with such conviction that he actually sort of believed her. And before he even realized it, they were at the airport. He got out and the woman leaned out and rested her elbows on the window.

She called out to him, “You’re lucky I gave you a lift instead of the magic taxi. You look like you could be a prime target, so be careful if you ever come back to visit...”

The last part sent some chills down Abraham’s spine. If she had made it all up, why did that warning feel so ominous?

Long Story (Part 2)

“It all happened about a year ago now.” The woman behind the wheel said, “I was taking a cab from my hotel to the airport, just like you. The driver I had was surly, mostly grunted instead of spoke. I didn’t think much of it; I had plenty of drivers like that before. The driver drops me off at the airport, tells me to have a nice day, and the next thing I know I’m behind the wheel in the driver’s body. It was total Twilight Zone.”

“I couldn’t imagine that body being surly.” Abraham interjected.

“You didn’t let me finish. The driver of that cab was a dude. Actually, I was as well. Turns out he had this weird journal. Various people had swapped into that body over the years and left notes. Apparently, the cab was cursed. Now that I was in the body of the driver, I was too. I’d eventually swap with someone, even if I didn’t want to; the cab would make sure it happened. In fact, when I drove this young woman to the mall, I didn’t even think of her as a target. The magic words ‘Have a nice day’ just slipped out when I dropped her off, and BOOM! I was in her body and she was now the driver, forced to continue the chain and steal someone else’s body down the line.”

Long Story (Part 1)

Abraham waited outside the hotel for his cab to take him back to the airport. The business trip had been rough, but he had managed to close the deal. He grew impatient as he checked his watch. Abraham was about to call and complain when he finally saw the cab turn around the corner. He was surprised when the taxi pulled with a beautiful young woman driving. He had never recalled having a female cab driver before. As he sat in the back, he couldn’t resist but ask how she got into driving.

The woman turned around briefly and said, “Well, I haven’t always been a taxi driver. I haven’t even always been a woman. But it’s a long story.”

“Well, it’s a long ride to the airport,” Abraham replied, “Please go on...”

Stuck

When five o’clock hit, the elevators at work were always crowded. It was probably the worst time for the Great Shift. When it hit, the elevator stopped. People were packed in so tight that it was hard for some people to figure out that they were even swapped. Eric knew something was wrong since he went from being the tallest in the elevator to being the shortest. When the elevator finally resumed and opened up on the bottom floor a half hour later, he pushed his way to be first out. He now discovered that he wasn’t just shorter, he was also a woman! Doug also realized he was now a woman as well and let out a scream. It was a bit like a delayed reaction compared to the other people in the lobby, many of whom were already starting to adjust to their new bodies. Still, for everyone who had been trapped in the elevator, this was the first chance to really have some space to see and feel their new bodies.

Copier

Jane entered the office supply room to grab a few things and noticed a woman at the copier. She was lifting the top and pressing buttons like mad; she seemed confused. Jane really wanted to just get back to work, but for some reason she asked the woman if she could help.

The woman averted her eyes before answering, “I know this is going to sound crazy, but this machine turned my body into a woman’s!”

Jane rolled her eyes, “Of course it did. It’s a copier, duh. It turns you into a copy of the last person who used it. I’d show you how to use it, but I really doubt I want YOUR old body. Is this your first job in an office? Are you an intern or something?”

“I’m a man! Or I WAS a man! Why would an office have something like this?”

Jane shrugged and returned to her desk.

Magic Oil

Elena’s mouth went wide as she realized what happened. In shock she asked, “How did you do this?

”Simply enough,” Greg answered, “When I gave you that free massage, I used this magic oil. Every part of you that I rubbed with it was swapped with me.”

“You need to swap us back!”

“Sorry, honey, it doesn’t work like that.”

“But we’re both freaks!”

“And that’s why you have two choices. You can either allow us to stay as freaks, or you can rub this oil on your face. We’ll swap heads. You’ll completely lose the last part of your body, sure, but you’ll end up looking like me, a completely normal guy.” “But I don’t want to be a guy!”

“I’m afraid on that you have no choice. You’re already a guy where it count, after all. So do you want to be a normal guy or a weird guy with a woman’s head?”

Purse (Part 2)

After Kyle examined the purse, he began to walk to the address printed on this woman’s identification. It wasn’t far, and he was pretty sure he could walk there. However, he soon encountered something he didn’t expect: Walking as a woman felt different than walking as a man. Was it due to the difference of the shape of a woman’s body? Or maybe it was just the clothes that this woman chose to wear? He wasn’t sure; all he could tell at this point was that it felt strange. He was doing his best to put it out of his mind, but each step made it all the more real. He walked slowly; he tried to think of other things, but the reality was that this was his body now. He was a woman now. How was he going to adjust to this feeling every day for the rest of his life? Would he just get used to it? Did he want to get used to it? Only time would answer those questions.

Purse (Part 1)

After unexpectedly swapping bodies, searching for any sort of  identification seemed like the most logical reaction. Kyle first tried to check his pockets, but it didn’t take him long at all to realize that he now had no pockets. This meant something a little more shocking than finding himself in another person’s body; he had just found himself in the body of a woman on top of that. Still, he was doing his best to keep a level head as he followed the strap on his shoulder down to a purse by his side. He couldn’t believe the amount of crap that fit inside such a small bag, or why anyone would need all this stuff. He was used to only keeping keys, a wallet, and a phone with him. Now he had all that in here plus tissues, makeup, tampons, and a few things he couldn’t identify. He assumed this woman’s ID would be in her wallet; it turned out to just be kept in a pocket on the side. It only took him thirty minutes to find it hiding in there. He really didn’t understand purses, but he realized he would probably have to get used to one as he began to head toward the address printed on her identification.

Have You Seen This Man?

“Excuse me...excuse me. Have you seen this man around here?”

Julia examined the photo on the phone closely, “Yeah, I think I’ve seen him. About an hour ago...maybe? He was running pretty fast and turned onto Elm over there. Is he a friend? Relative?”

“Actually...that’s me,” Steve confessed.

Julia looked confused.

“Yeah, it’s a long story. The short version is that the woman you see before you stole my body. I am trying to piece together why, but I did figure out how. Which means if I find her, I can get my body back.”

Julia looked even more confused.

“I know. You probably don’t believe me; it sounds really strange. But, thank you, really. And if you see her...be careful! Like I said, I don’t know why she’s doing this, so I don’t know if she’ll do it again.”

Business Trip

Peter couldn’t understand why there were some people who still insisted on traveling by airplane. Teleportation technology was cheaper and much faster. Your brain was uploaded into a computer and downloaded into someone else’s body at your destination while their brain was downloaded into your body for the same period. Peter figured that some people just felt weird about spending a little time in someone else’s body, but he saw it as an opportunity for new experiences. Every time he arrived at the teleportation center, he tried to select people who were as different from him as possible. It was always a good idea to select a lot of people, in order to ensure a match for your travel. Peter always selected a lot. For his latest business trip, he didn’t get his first choice, but he also couldn’t complain. For the first time ever, a woman had agreed to teleport with him for the duration of the visit. His first pick was a little younger, but the blond woman’s body he got was still quite different from his own. In a word, she was hot. The leather pants and heels were a particular surprise. The one hang up he did have was that he insisted on still going to a hotel. Some teleporters often offered their home, but while he felt more than comfortable in someone else’s body, staying in someone else’s home still felt weird.

Trained

“Do you have any idea where we are?” Ted asked sheepishly.

“No,” Gerald replied.

“And do you have any idea who we are?”

“No. I knew the trains in Asia were fast, but I never expected them to be so fast that we’d be sucked out of our bodies once it hit top speed.”

“I don’t think that was the train,” Ted replied, “I mean, that just wouldn’t be physically possible. I think it had something to do with that weird flash of light we hit.”

“A flash of light? Does that make any more sense than a train that can swap your body with someone else?”

“I just can’t imagine the trains go around swapping people’s bodies all the time.”

“Well, let’s just accept that we are now in the bodies of these women and try to figure things out from here. Maybe we just cut out all of our tourist stuff today and go back to the hotel. When is the train scheduled to return?”

“Actually, it should be here already.”

“Wait, the trains here are NEVER late...”

Studies

Things had been going fairly well for Douglas up until the Great Shift. He had a full scholarship thanks to his starting position on the football team, and the pros were already looking at him as a potential recruit. Then the Shift swapped him into the body of his girlfriend. He was very worried that he’d lose his scholarship and have to drop out of college. But before school started up again in the fall, Congress actually managed to squeeze through a few legal protections for all Shifted Americans. It meant that the school wouldn’t be able to take Douglas’s scholarship away; in fact, they technically wouldn’t even be able to cut him from the team. Of course, they could still sideline him. This didn’t exactly bother him since he didn’t exactly want to risk going out of the field with this new body of his. Now he’d be able to focus a little bit more on his studies. He had actually always been a good student; he would’ve probably been better if football hadn’t taken so much of his study time. Though he guessed that now he’d finally find out. He had always assumed he would just go off to play pro after school, but now he supposed his future wasn’t written...

More Interesting

It was only two days ago when Ron and Michelle swapped bodies. Despite the oddness of being in his own wife’s body, Ron thought everything was going smoothly. He still hoped to switch back as soon as possible, but he was managing quite well. In fact, on the second day, he was able to run through his wife’s morning routine without any assistance. He took a shower, put on makeup, and even managed to pick an outfit that he thought his wife would approve of. Then he went down to the kitchen, made himself a protein shake, and began to start his daily work-from-home responsibilities. That’s when he saw the note.

It was folded up in the middle of the table, neatly written in his wife’s handwriting with his name on it. He opened it up and began to read. It explained that she was leaving; she just couldn’t handle being swapped. Or, more precisely, she was able to deal with being a man, but it was hard to watch Ron in her body.

Ron took a deep breath, trying to take it all in. Michelle’s body was going to be his now, and he was probably never going to see his own body again. If the last two days were interesting (and they certainly had been), things going forward were going to get even more so.

Blind Date

Earlier in the day, Craig had gone to visit his sister, Gwen. She showed him a junky old medallion that she found at a yard sale. He wasn’t impressed; that is until the thing began to glow and the two of them ended up swapping bodies, to both their surprise. When they couldn’t use it again, Gwen suggested it may need to recharge. The only problem with waiting was a blind date that she had tonight that she refused to cancel.

Craig had been skeptical, but by the end of the dinner, he realized it wasn’t exactly a bad way to spend the evening. He hated to low cut top his sister insisted he wear, but was pleasantly surprised as the waitstaff cleared the table after dessert that Gwen’s date picked up the check. While a guy picking up the tab for a woman isn’t uncommon at all, after a few glasses of wine, Craig was often forgetting that he was the woman right now. The whole thing felt more like hanging out with a buddy instead of a romantic encounter.

Of course, after dinner in the cab home, he was reminded intensely about the gender of his present body when Gwen’s date tried to pull some moves. Craif did his best to rebuff them, but the situation still made him feel vulnerable and awkward. He sure hoped that medallion was recharged by the time he got back to his sister’s place.

Never Imagined (Part 2)

It was a little bit of a shock for Brittany some time later when she ran into Ed some time later. She just couldn’t believe he could or would make her body look ... like ... THAT. She was almost at a loss for words when she walked up to him, before she finally burst out asked for an explanation about what he did to her body.

Ed just twirled his hair as he chewed on some gum, “I just brought out your natural beauty. I didn’t expect it either, but it all just sort of happened.”

Brittany wanted to react with anger -- especially when he mentioned “natural beauty” while looking down at what she obviously knew were implants -- but she held back. She knew there was nothing she could do. No one was going to reverse the Great Shift, and all the laws that ended up being passed post-Shift meant that Ed was the rightful owner of her body now. She knew there was no point in getting angry. It wouldn’t accomplish anything. So instead, she just nodded, hoping that she would never run into her old body ever again.

Never Imagined

Ed was really quite proud of himself. When he had first swapped with Brittany after the Great Shift, he was disappointed. She had been such a tomboy, but Ed had always held onto the belief that women should be, well, feminine. He wasn’t comfortable with the idea at first, but he kept telling himself that this was the way things were meant to be. It started out fairly simple, by wearing more skirts and dresses and adding a bit more pink to her wardrobe. It spiraled out of control quickly from there. He ditched any clothing that wasn’t pick, he never left the house without a thick coat of makeup, he wore corsets that eventually had a lasting impact on his figure, he always wore high heels, and he even got breast implants. After a year, his body was barely recognizable as the same Brittany he had swapped with during the Shift. And his previous personality from before the Shift was even less recognizable. After all, if he looked the part, he had to act the part as well, didn’t he? He flirted, he giggled; he was feminine. He never imagined he’d be doing any of this things in his lifetime; then again, he never imagined he’d be swapping with a woman at all to begin with.

But...But...But...

Thomas had no words to describe how he was feeling. He had casually bumped into the woman on the street, and only a short time later he found that he had swapped bodies with her. He didn’t have any way to explain how it happened, and he was at a loss for words about just how good it felt to be in her body. He never would’ve expected it, but being a woman just felt right.

In fact, as soon as he was able to get off the street, he did so and began examining himself and snapping a few photos. The pants seemed way too tight, and he could tell that the underwear was riding up his ass crack, but that’s part of what made him feel so good. He snapped another photo of his butt in these tight white pants. Yes, he could get used to this butt. He really enjoyed this butt...

And the next day, Herb left Exchange Island. While everyone else returned to their own bodies, Herb stayed in the body he had swapped into when he first arrived, Angela’s body. That was her name...or rather, his name now. And he had her life. There were a few forms that all visitors to Exchange Island had to fill out, but they didn’t contain very much information...at least not when completely assuming someone else’s life. He knew his new name and where she lived. He also knew she was a yoga instructor and recently divorced. Details about social security numbers and maiden names would eventually help him uncover bank account numbers and passwords, but it would all take some time. He was impressed by the size of her house. He could only presume that her ex-husband was rich. After all, a yoga instructor couldn’t possibly make that much. And if he wanted to keep doing that, he realized he’d have to start to learn how to do yoga. This wasn’t going to be easy.

Final Visit (Part 2)

On the day before he was scheduled to leave, Herb was called down to the resort’s lobby. The news wasn’t good. His body had a heart attack. There was no body for him to go back to, and no brain to return to the body he was currently in. Simply put, this woman’s body was now his. He left the lobby silent and went to a hill by the beach. For hours until the sun began to go down, he just looked out on the ocean and thought. He felt bad for the woman. He felt guilt, thinking he shouldn’t have come to the island at al this year. Final Visit (Part 1)

Herb knew that it would probably be his last time on Exchange Island. He was nearly 70 now, and he was sure the yearly trip to the resort would be too much for him next year. He knew he’d miss coming back here, enjoying the experience of a different body for a short time, but for now he was just enjoying and living in the now.
