After spending a few hours alone, Grant returned to the park. He picked a spot and sat, waiting for whoever had the body swapped to come by. But the chaos had died down. In fact, no one in the park seemed to be freaking out about being in the wrong body anymore. He asked a passerby who shrugged and said that after a little bit, everyone had just seemed to adapt to their new bodies. It didn’t bother anyone. Grant realized his own experience was the opposite. He had wanted this body badly; he thought he’d want to spend forever as this woman, but now a huge part of him just wanted to go back to being himself again. He couldn’t help but wonder if this was fate playing a huge joke on him.
