“There’s no medical way for me to prove that you are who you are,” The doctor sighed as he continued to examine Jack, “I can’t simply write a note to your boss explaining who you are, but I have an offer...”
The doctor paused.
“...I can employ you here at the clinic. On paper, you’ll be a receptionist. You will have to do the work, but the pay is good. And there’s a bonus. I also work on studies at a local hospital. I can specialize a study just for you. I can dedicate time and resources into exploring just what has happened to you here and put a call out to others who may be in a similar situation. There would be a small payment involved in that as well. I don’t know how much you made at your old job, but between those two things, hopefully it’s enough. And by keeping you close, we can maintain these examinations.”
Jack thought about it before letting out a smile, “It sounds good. Thank you.”
