“I checked with all the kids and none of them have seen it,” Jake said with a slouch.

“Well, it didn’t just disappear! It has to be somewhere, right?” There was an angry tone in Janice’s voice. “You didn’t hide it on me on purpose, did you?”

“Why would I do that? My body may not be in the best shape, but I like being a guy! Your period is coming in two days, and believe me, I don’t want to still be you when that happens!”
