Jasmine had expected the teleportation to be an instantaneous process, but instead everything just sort of turned purple and blurry as her matter buffered. She could still feel and experience things, but it didn’t seem quite real. She was still fully aware and took the time to gather her thoughts and hopefully assess her mental state. The whole experience had been so sci-fi surreal like the name of that, like, show with the, um, people. She couldn’t think of the name of it right now, and she realized that she probably never would. It was one of many missing thoughts, replaced in her head with “um”s, “like”s, and big question marks. Even her thoughts sounded dumb to her, and she feared what she might sound like when she opened her mouth.
